About this book

This paper examines the Qur’anic philosophy of trials, presenting life as a continuous test in light of the Qur’an and Sunnah. Classical Muslim scholars such as al-Ghazali, Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn al-Qayyim, and Shah Waliullah viewed trials as means of spiritual training and moral development. Meanwhile, contemporary Muslim thinkers, including Allama Iqbal, Maulana Maududi, Wahiduddin Khan, Yusuf al-Qaradawi, Javed Ahmad Ghamidi, and Tariq Ramadan, have interpreted these trials against the backdrop of modern challenges. The study explores the theological, ethical, and spiritual dimensions of trials and how they shape the intellectual and moral character of Muslims in today’s world.
